Summary details of case
The proposed development is for a 831kW anaerobic digester on existing farmland at Crossparks Farm, Templeton. The aim of the development is to comply with , Environment Agency ‘Notice to Carry Out Anti Pollution Works’ and ‘Notice to do Works to Minimise Pollution from an Existing Structure’ which have been issued concerning , slurry storage and silage clamps at Cleave Farm. Concerns have also been raised by local residents with regard to pollution, traffic, odour and noise at the farm. This , proposal seeks to address these concerns and provide the farm with a modernised, sustainable system for storage and treatment of farm products. , The installation would include a digester tank of 29.8m in diameter and 7m high; a digestate store of 29.8m in diameter and 7m in height; a buffer tank of 8m diameter and , 4m height; a control cabin 12m long, 3m wide and 2.5m high; a Combined Heat and Power (CHP) unit with dimensions 12m long, 3.5m wide and 7m high; a solids feeder , tank; a separator frame and clamp; a silage clamp with five bays, each 50m wide by 50m long and 5m high; a concrete yard for vehicle movements and improved site , entrance. The digester tank, digestate store, buffer tank, separator frame and clamp and solid feeder would be contained within a bund recessed by 1.8m into the ground.
