Are Wind Turbines depressing the housing market in Devon?

This CPRE Devon website is increasingly being used by house hunters looking to move to or buy into
Devon. We have had no less than six inquiries recently by potential buyers asking for specific details
of the threat from renewable energy projects to properties they are considering in parts of Devon. It is
only anecdotal evidence, but in every case where there is a planning application planned or approved
for a wind turbine, the callers have said “Thank you, we will obviously have to look elsewhere”. This
“Blight” on the market cuts both ways for sellers and well as for prospective buyers.
