Batsworthy Cross Wind Farm in North Devon.

The Batsworthy Cross wind Farm application in North Devon was refused permission by the North Devon District Council planning committee on 22 June 2011. The decision was unanimous despite the planning officer recommending approval. The site was close to the southern boundary of Exmoor National Park and the main reason for refusal was the impacts on the national Park. The application was submitted as long ago as November 2006 and among those objecting were Exmoor National park Authority, the Exmoor Society and the Two Moors Campaign. CPRE North Devon Group played a key role in achieving this result.
