Wind turbine sited too close to the road is allowed to stay.

Local residents are dismayed at the decision by the Torridge District Council planning officer to grant permission for this 77m high wind turbine which had been built in the wrong location, at only 60m from the main road between Holsworthy and Launceston, to stay in this wrong situation.

We agree with the local people and also the advice of Devon County Council Highways, who called it ‘potentially catastrophic’. We think the turbine is sited too close to the road, poses an unnecessary risk, and that the turbine should be relocated because safety should be paramount.
