Our countryside in 2014 – seen from a hot air balloon!

An amazing experience, but the landscape is now littered with wind turbines and solar farms.  The balloon took off from near North Petherwin, nr Launceston, Cornwall and flew south some 12 miles and landed near Lifton, West Devon.  Sept 2014.

Planning application for largest wind farm in Torridge district is withdrawn

EDF have written to Torridge District Council to formally withdraw their current planning application for a wind farm comprising 6 x 115m high wind turbines, on land at Chapmans Well, St Giles on the Heath, Nr Ashwater.
