Campaigning against the ‘Devon Data Monster’ at Devon’s agricultural shows, 2026

This summer our stand visited four of Devon's one-day agricultural shows to talk about the Devon Data Monster, our campaign against a proposed AI data centre and Battery Energy Storage Systems on 850 acres of North Devon farmland. We were overwhelmed by the support, so thank you to everyone who came to say hello.

We were out and about this summer at several of the one-day agricultural shows throughout the County. This year, our stand focused on the ‘Devon Data Monster’ and we were overwhelmed with support for our campaign against this monstrous proposal – an AI data centre and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) on 850 acres of North Devon’s precious farmland.

We went to the North Devon Show (5th August), Honiton Show (6th August), Chagford Show (20th August) and the Holsworthy Show (27th August).
