2,000 new homes permitted at Woolwell, South Hams

Following deferral of a decision at the November planning committee meeting, South Hams District Council planning committee have now voted to permit this huge development of 2,000 new homes, retail space, primary school and other facilities on green fields at Woolwell, just outside Plymouth.   Alongside many local residents, we had objected to these huge proposals.   It’s an extremely disappointing decision.  Particularly because several councillors had said they were against the plans, but felt they had to vote in favour because of the council’s obligation to meet housing supply targets.
