Our Outdoors Competition Winners 2016!

Thank you to all the communities who entered our new competition this year.  We had a wide range of entries representing many different parts of Devon – and it was very difficult to judge!  But we are now delighted to announce the winners, who are:

Category 1 – Most creative and distinctive planted outdoor space:  Winner – Offwell Village – ‘The Haycart’.

Category 2 – Most improved and innovative outdoor location:  Highly Commended – St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, Buckfast – ‘The Woodland Area’.

Category 3 – Our Outdoors as a special and sustainable place in the community: Winner – Colyford Goose Fayre;

Highly Commended: Talaton Parish Council – The Whole Village; Berrynarbour Village – Berry in Bloom.

More houses for Halwill Junction, Torridge?

Despite a previous appeal for a new housing development in Holly Lane being dismissed, a new application has been submitted to Torridge District Council for 20 dwellings (ref 1/0020/2026/FULM).
